We were really excited to be holding the first Lta tennis tournament at Heaton Tennis Club in Bradford for 4 years. The event was held over two days and had good entries in all categories. We were made very welcome particularly by manager Alex and head coach Matt McTurk. We plan to be back in the near future see our tournament schedule for details.

12 and under boys winner Thomas Vale and runner up Oliver Glover

14 and under boys winner Leo Poulton and runner up Jacob Popplewell

18 and under boys winner Matthew Abel and runner up Edward Appleyard

Another great day of competition at David Lloyd Leeds with home players Joe Conaghan and Prianka Misra excelling to win three of the six tournaments on another very busy day.

The results were

12 and under girls Winner Sienna Cooper and runner up Lily Cliff with consolation winner Darya Kuzmina

14 and under boys Winner Hugo Barnard runner up Taylor Hampshaw and consolation winner Joe Rhys Cruz

16 and under boys Winner Joe Conaghan runner up Thomas Grime and consolation winner Billy Mason

18 and under boys winner Joe Conaghan runner up Oliver Critchley and consolation winner Ruben Francis

18 and under girls winner Alexandra Kepa runner up Nicole Gama and consolation winner Prianka Misra

Womens open winner Prianka Misra runner up Chiara Basso Bassett and consolation winner Katie Myers

It was a cold day but some of the tennis was hot. There were four events on the day on the indoor carpet and acrylic under the bubble.

The boys 12 and under was won by Harry Abel 4-1 4-2 against Joren Lunn in the indoor bubble. The consolation winner was Oscar Murray winning 3-4(2) 4-3(2) 10-8 against Hashmath Ali Ahmed in an epic encounter.

In the boys 14 and George Burgin the third seed was victorious 3-4(2) 4-3(1) 10-4 Matthew Vale in another great game. Benjamin Jackson came out on top against Joshua Fowler 4-2 4-2

The boys 18 and under final was a topsy turvey match but Matthew Abel the top seed won 4-0 0-4 10-2. On route to the final Matthew was victorious in a another close match against Ruben Francis 2-4 4-3(2) 10-5. In the consolation Final Edward Appleyard beat Max Jefferies 4-1 4-3(1)

The mens open was won by Arun Bahia top seed against second seed Shaun Murray 4-2 4-0. In the mens consolation final Matthew Booth came out on top v Jack Willis 2-4 4-3(4) 10-5.
