Chapel Allerton Grade 5 8 September 2018

The weather was not kind to us on the day with almost constant rain only stopping when the tournament was nearly complete. Thanks to all the competitors who played so well in the difficult conditions. Thankfully the Chapel A all weather courts held up well considering how heavy the rain was at times.

There were 4 events starting with the boys 12 and under.

Unseeded Jake Lloyd came through to win the final against top seed Billy Newsome 4-0 4-2

In the consolation draw second seed Callum Tranter won 4-3(0) 4-1 against Jake Reed

The 14U girls event was a compass draw with unseeded Sara Neacsu taking the trophy 4-2 4-1 against second seed Madelaine Malpass

The 14U boys was won by unseeded James Cai taking his second Leeds and North of England 14U event in a month by coming through 4-2 4-0 against Jake Grant. The consolation final was a battle of the Barroclough brothers with Edward winning 4-1 4-1

It was a day of the unseeded players with Jude Dixon winning the 18U boys 2-4 4-2 10-4 in a close match with top seed Matthew Davidson
