We ran grade 14 and under grade 4 events at David Lloyd and grade 5 18u and 12u events at David Lloyd and Chapel Allerton over the weekend of 16 & 17 November.

Ripon Tennis Centre Grade 4 3 November 2019

We were back at this very popular venue on 3 November with the 3 new tarmac courts in play as well as the artificial grass and indoor courts. 8 courts in all meaning we could do a draw with 21 in the boys 14U so that everyone who wanted to play could.

Chapel Allerton Tennis Club 15 September

We had a number of events on the day starting with the boys and girls 12U Grade 4.

The girls started off early with a few bleary eyed players but the soon woke up and there were some great games. The final was between two unseede players with Amy McMahon winning 4-0 4-0 against Ava Moss. The consolation final went to Isabella Monks 4-0 4-1 against Divine Onuh

The boys was won by Benjamin Philips beating Preston Hadji 4-2 4-2

The consolation was won by James Oxley 2-4 4-2 12-10 in a marathon match against Felix Lovett

We also had a 12U girls grade 6 event with Penny Robbins winning the box league

The Grade 5 14U boys was won by Andrew Hunsley 4-2 4-3(4) against Jamie Macpherson.

Finally the men’s West Yorkshire event was completed under floodlights with Jack Hanson coming through 4-2 2-4 10-7 against Leo Van

Liversedge Tennis Club Grade 5 8 September

It was a beautiful sunny day and we were made very welcome as ever at Liversedge. We had two 16 draw events on the day.

We began with the 12U Boys which was won by Preston Hadji who took the final 4-3(5) 4-1 against Jacob Spence. The final of the consolation went to Isaac Waterhouse 4-0 4-0 against Anton Birch.

The men’s was won by dark horse Joshua Byrom who played some great tennis in beating a number of higher rated players. The final against Leo Van was 4-1 4-1.

Matthew Anderson won the consolation event 4-1 4-1 against Darryl Dolan Rathmell.

Ripon Tennis Centre Grades 5 & 6 28 July 2019

We were made very welcome again at Ripon Tennis Centre and played on all courts indoor and outdoor including the newly laid and soon to be painted tarmac courts.

It was great to see a number players new to tournaments and we hope to see them again. The was an good friendly and sporting atmosphere which we love to see. Thanks to everyone.

The 12 and under boys event was won by Ben Mcmaster against Jacob Casans 4-1 4-0 with the consolation going to Oliver Bailey 4-0 4-3(1) against Angus Burns-Tillson

In the men’s event there was a round robin with the winner being Andrew Davis and Runner up Christopher Partridge.

There was also a round robin in the girls 12 and under with Evie Boyle winning and Grace Collinson coming second in a closely contested event with the result being decide by percentage of games/points won.

The 16U boys event was won by Toby Redfern 6-4 6-3 against Luke Moseley

David Lloyd Leeds Grades 4 & 5 21 July 2019

We had two events on the day a Grade 4 14 and under boys and a Grade 5 boys 16 and under.

We played both indoor and outdoors and had some good close matches. As we had the court time we also managed to add a few ratings games to keep everyone happy!

The 14 and under was won by Anish Johar 4-2 4-2 against Noah Paterson who had earlier beaten the top seed 10-8 in the final set tie break.

The consolation went to David Dabrowski 4-1 4-2 against Jake Reed.

In the 16 and under boys top seed Joren Lunn won 4-1 4-0 against Seb James with Zakari Watson winning the consolation against Sho Wong 4-1 4-2

Pocklington Grades 5 & 6 14 July 2019

We were back at Pocklington with two tournaments a boys 14U G5 and a mens open Grade 6.

In the 14 and under boys we had two round robins followed by a final so the boys had plenty of games. The play off was won by Marcus Ford 4-0 4-1 against Seb James

In the men grade 6 we also had two round robins followed by a final with Jack Hoare caming out on top 4-0 4-3(3) against Alan Newsome.
