Chapel Allerton Grade 5 10 November 2018

It was great to see such a big turnout for all events and particularly the girl’s 10U which had the biggest entry of the day. All were 16 compass draws.

Thanks also to Chapel Allerton for stepping in to host the event after David Lloyd Leeds had double booked their courts.

There was some fantastic tennis all day and the courts played well despite some heavy overnight rain.

We started with the 10U girls at 9.30 and the final was finished by 1pm with Amy Mcmahon winning 4-2 4-0 against top seed Elizabeth Tate in a match with lots of high class rallies.

The consolation event was won by Beth Pratt against Karina Greta Kiss 4-2 4-0.

The boys 10U was also of a great standard and Toby Shaw came through the draw beating the first, third and fourth seeds along the way. Well done Toby. In the final against Joshua Roberts the score was 4-1 4-1

The boys 14U was another competitive event with lots of games being decided on tie break final sets. Eventual winner Joseph Darley had two of them on the way to the final with Jake Reed winning 3-4(1) 4-1 10-8 against Alexandros Chaitidis and 4-2 3-4(3) 10-9 against Edward Barroclough. The consolation event was won by Thomas Cassidy-De Falco.
